Electrical Appliance Testing
An electrical / portable appliance test consists of several tasks. The item has to pass a visual check and some practical tests. If the appliance passes the test, it is considered safe to use. Hallmarque PAT conducts these tests with minimal disruption to you and your business. If there are any small repairs that need to be made, Hallmarque PAT complete these free of charge.
All safe appliances tested by Hallmarque PAT are labelled; as a client you will receive an overall printed report containing a list of tested appliances including certification.
Why do I need PAT Testing?
This is a common question and while PAT is not compulsory, it is generally regarded as the best way to ensure that all pertinent health and safety regulations are met. Should one of your employees, customers or tenants suffer injury from an untested appliance, you could find yourself in a difficult situation.
All portable appliances could potentially suffer damage during use that may result in them being a danger to the user. By not having regular inspection of your electrical equipment it could be argued that you have not taken reasonable measures to ensure the safety of users.
